Essay

The thesis is denoted to studying, generalizing and solving the problem of coal mining enterprises investment attractiveness estimation under the circumstances of Ukrainian national economics' transformation. Determined that existing approaches for coal mines' investment attractiveness estimation based on economic results of enterprises' activity do not permit to obtain objective information about conditions and prospects of coal mines, which are estimated. Special attention is paid to the inside nature of coal mine as an economic mini system with the help of index of economic entropy and shadow prices of productive resources. Determination of the economic entropy has been theoretically founded and proposed to in the paper. Problems of enterprises' internal reserves recovering were considered too, especially reserves of the main manufacturing processes and productive resources. Production resources are considered as sources of negentropy for the coal mines. Coal mines investment attractiveness estimation based on economic entropy permits to define prospective mines and low-efficient ones, which should be restructured in the nearest future. Also this index is useful to monitor constantly coal mines' activity and to implement managerial deci-sions to improve enterprises' efficiency.
