3. Thesis is dedicated to the research of the constitutional nature of Verkhovna Rada’s representative function and to the defining of the place of the representative function in the system of the parliamentary functions in Ukraine. The thesis contains a scientific substantiation of Verkhovna Rada’s of Ukraine representative function as a kind of activity of Ukrainian parliament, analysis of its legal nature and content, indications of representative function, characteristics of its realization mechanism by Verkhovna Rada. The big stress was made on the definition of the terms “functions of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, “representative function of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, realization forms of the representative function of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, “realization mechanism of the representative function of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”. Thesis contains the analysis of the evolution of concept of national representation. The representative authorities of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were pointed out and theanalysis of the main orientations of the representative function of the Ukrainian parliament were made during the research. Kinds of realization forms of the representative function of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were characterized. Indications of the realization mechanism of the representative functions were pointed out and the detailed examination of the elements of this mechanism was made. The classification of realization forms of the representative functions of the parliament by the Ukrainian deputies was carried out. The role of fractions in the realization of the representative function of Verkhovna Rada, was defined. The research resulted in conclusions and suggestions to make changing in the constitutional legislation to improve the constitutional status of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
