Essay

The dissertation contains the results of clinical structural and metabolic investigations in patients with generalized tonic-clonic seizures, it was established that, epileptic seizures are accompanied by activation of free-radical oxidation, i.e. by developing of the oxidative stress, which is considered an important factor in incrcesing the brain epileptisation, and the important role of epileptic secizures in lipid metabolism disorders was established too. The relation between the cerebral hemodynamics and electrophysiologic changes were established. On the basis of revealing pathogenetic mechanisms of epileptic complications, curative-prophylactic measures were offered.
