The dissertation is devoted to the scientific analysis of defence of the rights of national minorities in Ukraine, definition of the basic problems and perspectives in this sphere. On the basis of the theoretical analysis of the scientific literature, international and internal state normative acts, generalisation of practice of activities of the various authorised subjects in this sphere, the complex scientific characteristic of defence of the rights of national minorities in Ukraine is given. The practical offers concerning improvement of the legislation of Ukraine in sphere of defence of the rights of national minority are formulated.
