Essay

The mechanisms of interaction 2,6-dimethylpyridine-N-oxyde (ivin) with lipid membranes are investigated. It was shown that the character of ivin's membranotropic effects and the type of it's molecular dynamics in lipid environment depend on completeness of it's dehydration at the contact with a lipid matrix surface. It was shown that the modification of membrane structure by ivin influences mem-brane permeability to 2,4-dichlorphenoxyacetic acid herbicide and speed of peroxide lipid oxidation by active oxygen.
