The dissertation deals with the problem of forming the professionally oriented English grammar competence to future teachers. The methodology of forming the professionally oriented English grammar competence in the context of cross-cultural communication has been theoretically substantiated and practically developed. The theoretical premises of forming the professionally oriented English grammar competence were taken into account. The structure and content of this competence were determined. The structure of the investigated competence includes the grammar, speech, sociocultural, and methodical components.The system of exercises and instructions to form the professionally oriented English grammar competence in oral speech has been theoretically substantiated. The system of exercises and instructions gave the grounds for designing a set of exercises and instructions. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology was verified and confirmed during the experimental teaching. Methodological recommendationsconcerning forming the professionally oriented English grammar competence to future teach-ers have been developed.
