Palamarchuk V. Methods of prevention of specific cоmplications in thyroid surgery.

In the dissertation it was estimated new methods for reliably improving of results of thyroidectomy by decreasing of frequency of specific postoperative complications such as paresis of iarynx and hypoparathyroidism by the means if perfoming the extracapsular method of operations. Effectiveness of objective methods of intra-operative identification of laryngeal nerves and parathyroid glands by estimation of impedance of laryngeal nerves (the frequency of paresis of larynx drops to 0,6%) and intra-operative dyeing of nerves and parathyroids by solution of Methylen -Blue and Dimthylsulfoxide (the frequency of postoperative hypoparathyroidism drops to 1.2%) was convincingly shown. It was proposed the new method of resection of thyroid in cases of Graves disease. Implementation extracapsular technique to decrease signficantly in autors methodic allows the rate of postoperative complications (overall complications drops to 1,6%).
