Volovyk V. Bill as an object of civil rights

The thesis is devoted to the research of problems of legal regulation of usage of the bill in the civil circulation of Ukraine. The special attention is paid to the civil-law characteristic of the bill as the object of the civil rights; the legal nature of obligations certified by the bill; origin and termination of the bill as object of civil rights; the consequences of violation of the order of issue of the bill and recognition of it invalid. The author discovers the peculiarities of origin, termination and transfer of the property right to the bill, including inheritance, call of the claim to property, confiscation and so on. The special features of acquisition and transfer of the property rights to the bills by natural persons have been analyzed as well. The thesis also covers the peculiarities of civil law contracts concluded in the bill turnover, including the agreements which foresee the transfer of the property rights to the bill, collection of payments, domiciled bills. On the basis of the analysis of the scientific literature, normative acts, court practice the author formulates the concrete proposals aimed at the improvement of legal regulation of usage of the bills in civil circulation of Ukraine.
