Essay

The dissertation considers the peculiarities of the symbolic mind representation held with the help of archetype symbols, which contains implicitly person's intimate feelings towards close people. The difficulty of the research lies in the fact that these feelings are ousted and connected with a personal problem, which is not realized and leads to inner destructions of the person's mind. The archetype symbols, beside individual content, also has the meaning which exists beyond the personal experience and thus allows to objectivize the material connected with the Oedipus dependence. This fact causes the appearance of ambivalent feelings towards the object and of inner contradictions. The research proves that the forming of the person's intimate feelings is of contradictive nature, as they begin in the Oedipus situation. The subconscious is structured and connected with the conscious due to the psychological defenses (basic and situational ones). The archetype symbols are presented in myths, tales and psychodrawings. The systematic understanding of the subconscious helps to realize the role of the archetype symbols in the ojectivizing of the Oedipus dependence, the outcomes of which are ambivalent feelings towards close people. The research of the role of the person's ambivalent feelings towards close people will be helpful to the psychologists in their professional activities aimed at adequate psychological diagnostics and correction of the psychological dysfunctions.
