Gennadiy V. The local self-government in the system of public power.

The work is devoted to the general-theoretical study of the nature of the local self-government, it's place in the system of public power. The problems of nature and the mechanics public power and its system were studied, the ratio of the phenomens power, government, self-government, local self-government, democracy, people government, people sovereignty was analysed. The place of local self-government in the system "state - civil society" was determinated, its ratio to the other kinds of public power and the principal origins of the state power and local self-government interaction was shown in the conditions of the different social systems. There are formulated suggestions, concerning advancing the current legislation, which regulates status of local self-government in Ukraine.
