Bozhuk T. Landscape cadastre of Ukrainian Marmarosh

The dissertation deals with the issue of formation of regional cadastres of natural resources. It is substantiated the expediency, and proposed a creation methodology, of a regional natural resources cadastre for the Carpathian Mountains, which is based on a landscape-ecological approach and application of GIS-techniques. The analysis of different names for the Ukrainian Marmarosh region is made, it is also shown the place of the region in the system of Carpathian landscapes. The classification is made, and the role of different environmental factors is established on the formation of landscape diversity of the region. A map inventory of the geosystems is made and respective large-scale maps are compiled for pedogeomorphic, biocenotic, and basin units. The two priority ways of utilization of the natural resources potential of the Ukrainian Marmarosh are singled-out - recreational-touristic and silvicultural. The recommendations are made on the expanding of nature conservation areas and on formation ofenvironmental educational tourist trails.
