Essay

The dissertation is devoted to development of new approaches in the treatment of women with postmenopausal osteoporosis, which is based on the complex application of over-high wave - therapy on the thyroid gland region and electrophoresis of cuprum sulfate by Vermel. Clinical, laboratory and instrumental research of 175 women with postmenopausal osteoporosis with or without osteoporotic fractures in anamnesis showed, that the electrophoresis of cuprum by Vermel had the most positive influence on clinical, laboratory and densitometry data at patients without fractures in anamnesis. Over-high wave therapy and their complex with electrophoresis of cuprum sulfate possess the most positive effect at patients, who have had fractures in anamnesis. The including of over-high wave therapy and electrophoresis of cuprum sulfate into the complex rehabilitative treatment of patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis exerts an analgesic action, lowers the intensity of osseous resorbtion according to the biochemical markers data and prevents the loss of bone mineral density according to ultrasonic densitometry data.
