Artyomenko A. Application of ozone therapy in the rehabilitation treatment of patients with ischemic heart disease

The dissertation is devoted to development of new approach in treatment of patients with ischemic heart disease, which is based on the complex application of medicinal and ozone therapy. The complex medical treatment positively influences on the clinical symptoms, enhances the anti-anginal treatment effectiveness, decreasing the 24-hour quantity of myocardial ischemia events on (61,3±8,2) % in comparison with group of medical therapy; corrects the endothelial dysfunction, resulting in relative increase of the endothelium-dependent vasodilation on (84,5±8,6) % in comparison with initial values; improves the left ventricle's diastolic function and tolerance to physical loads, resulting in reduction of angina pectoris' and heart failure functional classes. The efficiency of the suggested method is significantly higher in comparison with low-frequency magnetotherapy or placebo. The effiency of the suggested method is significantly higner in comparison with low-frecuency magnetotherapy or placebo. The addition of the given treatment to the out-patient rehabilitation program improves the cost-effectiveness of therapy, decreasing the need in additional anti-anginal medications on 61,5%, and reducing the rate of reccurent hospitilizations connected with cardiovascular events on 58,2%.
