Essay

The object of study: the heat transfer process from condensed steam to cooling heat carrier. The aim of investigation is the increasing of heat and maintenance parameters of plate condensers. Methods of study: criteria-and-structure, analytic methods for processing of results, physical and mathematic simulation, methods of thermo-physical experiment. Theoretical and practical results, novelty: the classification of steam plate condensers have been further derived, the relation for estimation of condensate film thickness was obtained for vertical corrugated surface, the heat transfer criteria equation with geometric parameter was found for the plates with sinusoidal corrugation profile, the theory of calculation of steam plate condensers have been further evolved relying on proposed zone-by-zone technique, the approach to estimation of plate heat exchangers’ reliability was evolved. The reliability of results obtained is based on heat transfer theory, steam condensation models, well-known thermodynamiclaws and it was experimentally verified. Degree of application: the proper units were installed at OAO “Soda”, Sterlitamak city, Bread-baking plants № 1, 2, Vinnitsa city. The field of application is the chemical industry.
