Korz A. Language Factor of the Ukrainian Society Transformation

The author presents the complex study of the character of language factor influence on the Ukrainian society transformation. She analyses the problems of the Ukrainian as official language assertion in different spheres of society's activities. The thesis investigates the language legislation, its contradictions and defects, projects of laws on languages functioning in Ukraine, propose the mightily developments of national legislation in the language sphere and its harmonization with norms of international law. The thesis highlights the peculiarities of language factor apply to the education sphere, TV, radio and press. It formulates the tendencies and regularities of ethnic-cultural processes, that determinate the character and speed of society transformation. Antonina Korz defines the main factors, conditions peculiarities, kinds, types and stages of language politics realization in Ukraine in the context of society transformation. On the wide-range factual base she explains the linkage between language and ethnic-national politics, points the main spheres of its realization and influence on temps and character of society transformation.
