ZORGACH V. Step-by-step ultrasonography in acutecholecystitis and its complications

The thesis is devoted to the optimization of diagnostics in acute cholecystitis by application of diagnostic algorithm and monitoring to surgical practice. The results of the clinico-instrumental investigation in 1015 patients formed the basis for this work. In the first the monitoring system has been developed and implemented where ultrasonography investigations were performed before surgical operation, during the first days after operation, the days when the risk of postoperative complications is the highest, before dismissal from the hospital, and 6 months after operation. In the second an algorithm has been developed; for this purpose reliable ultrasonography signs of cholecystitis were defined and arranged according to a common gallbladder pathology scheme and then organized in blocks in a form of “algorithmic tree”.
