Essay

Thesis concerns comparative study of morphology, anatomy and phytochemical properties of creeping thyme, Thymus Marschallianus Willd., Thymus pallasianus H. Braun., pot marjoram, white marjoram, sweet marjoram. Comparative physicochemical investigation of essential oils is fulfilled. For the first time with the help of gas-liquid chromatography on capillary columns from 54 components are identified. Using UV, IR and paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy flavonoids from pot majoram and white majoram, from sweet majoram are isolated and identified. From the first time with the help of high-performance liquid chromatography in overground mass of pot majoram, white majoram and sweet majoram the presence of 17 amino acids is established and their quantitative content. Phenolcarboxylic acid (urcolic, chlorogenic, rosemary ones) are isolated from raw pot majoram, white majoram and sweet majoram and identified. Content of carotinoid in raw pot majoram, white majoram and sweet majoram is determined and ascorbicacid. Morphological, anatomical and microdiagnostical features of raw Thymus Marschallianus Willd., white majoram and sweet majoram are determined. Optimum regimen of drying is ascertained. Antimicrobial, antiphlogistic and healing effect of pot majoram, white majoram and sweet majoram herbs spirit extracts is studied on test-culture of microorganisms
