The process of development of methodological bases and methodical approaches to the estimation of the results of entrepreneurship functioning. Development of the improvement directions of the statistical study methodology of small entrepreneurship and grounding of statistical indexes system characterizing the state and tendencies of its development at the regional level. Methods: dialectical, supervision, comparison, generalization, systems analysis, logical simulation, graphic, tabular, index, standardization, factor and cluster analysis. The integral statistical index system which allows to conduct comparative estimation of country (region) territorial units as to the level and perspective of development of small entrepreneurship is developed; the system of statistical indexes of the state, functioning efficiency and development tendencies of small entrepreneurship in a country (region) is improved; new indexes are developed, in particular coefficient of survival, coefficient of expansion and others.Suggestions of the improvement of the statistical accounting forms of small entrepreneurship entities and composition of general aggregate of small entrepreneurship entities are grounded. Perfection recommendations of the system of gathering and processing of data about state and development of small entrepreneurship at a regional level are inculcated.
