Essay

The object - plum pox virus. The methods - laboratory, field, laboratory-field. The novelty - It was determined that PPV strain found in the Ukraine is belonging to the chlorosis isolate. The virus is usually present at very low levels in infected trees where it is, moreover, unevenly distributed. The dynamics of PPV accumulation in different trees organs and tissues was studied. The optimal time of plant samples selection for PPV diagnostic was determined. Detection technique of high sensitivity are therefore required to index trees for the presence of the disease, a key step in sanitary selection measures which are still the only effective means to fight the disease. That's why the purified PPV solution was obtained and ELISA - test diagnostic kit was developed. Field - agriculture, selective breeding, plant protection..
