Essay

The following items had been analyzed in this dissertation: there were investigated the man-caused processes of creation of hydro-geological changes in the Chervonograd region as result of coal mining activity. There were determined factors and reasons of the man-caused loads to ecological and hydro-geological state of the region, taking into consideration complex effect either active or inactive coal mines. It is proved that the spoils' mining areas and existing coal mining system are the main factors of the man-caused effect to hydro-geological state of the region. There were determined period and scale of possible effect of contaminants, and determined actual contamination level of the region environment. It is substantiated a physical phenomenon of the man-caused processes in the spoils' mining areas, and developed a hydro-geological model of the dynamics of these processes, taking into consideration creation of the man-caused infiltration water planes. These enable us to make forecast of cyclic concentric pollutant emissions into surface and subsurface waters and at the same time allow us to make forecast of safe period of time for beginning of mine reclamation of spoils and providing other protective measures for environment stabilization of the ecological situation.
