Essay

The Thesis is devoted to studying an influence of the microstructure on solitary waves with different initial profile shapes propagating in elastic composite materials. The problem of solitary elastic wave propagation in the case of profiles in the form of Chebyshov - Hermit and Whittaker functions, Mexican Hat wavelet, and profile, obtained by others authors for rods impact and impulsive loading experiments is solved. New approximate analytical solutions in the form of solitary waves were built and the correctness of such solutions was proved. To enlarge the class of investigated impulses the wavelet analysis was used. Plots illustrated the initial profile distortion were built. Stability of the first mode was detected. During splitting of the initial profile into two modes the first mode is changed slowly and the second one reveals more evolution's properties. New solitary wave phenomena associated with microstructure were described.
