Kutnia H. Structural, Semantic and Functional Analysis of Process Predicates in Modern Ukrainian Language.

Process predicates in the modern Ukrainian language have been examined in the thesis. Structural, semantic and functional analysis of these units has been made in the aspects of paradigmatics and syntagmatics. The main differential qualities of predicates have been revealed and categorial status has been proved in the system of predicate meanings. Central and peripheral units in the functional and semantic predicate field have been revealed. Semantic and syntactical paradigms have been characterized in projection of formal, grammar and communicative levels of a sentence. The main modifications of process meaning were included to the analysis.
