The dissertation under consideration claims to be the first complex research of the genesis processes and development of the Ukrainian legal tradition in the sphere of taxation in the Ukrainian historical - legal research. The system of taxation is known first to be introduced in the period of the revival of Ukrainian statehood in 1917- 1920. In the dissertation the notion of "Ukrainian legal tradition in the sphere of taxation" was first introduced.
