Researched the peculiarities of harmful factors of the region with well-developed iron-uranium extraction industry and their impact on morphological and functional conditions of organs of the sexual system of men and experimental animals, male reproductive system (of miners and residents of the town of Zhovti Vody). Examined environmental pollution by heavy metals in the town, their accumulation in biosubstrates and human and animal organs. Confirmed deterioration of health condition of miners working at Nova iron-uranium extraction mine, basic production workers (on uranium ore dressing) and town residents, which resulted in a growing general level of diseases and spread of sexual diseases. The experiment has confirmed the negative impact of harmful factors of the iron-uranium extraction region on sexual organs of experimental animals that stayed at miners' working places. Performed a comprehensive examination of miners and town male individuals having sexual organ diseases complicated by fertility dysfunction and sterility and demonstrated accumulation of heavy metals in testis and prostate, spermatogenesis disturbance, hormonal disorder in the hypothalamus-hypophysis-epinephros-gonads system. Studied accumulation and redistribution of heavy metals in the male prostate. Designed a complex scheme of treatment and disease-prevention services for workers of the iron-uranium extraction and dressing industry and region residents affected by heavy metals and small dozes of ionizing radiation, using the absorbent "Honey Jelly with Vitapectinum," harmful factors of region.
