Lipych V. The Dynamics of the compound-suffix derivation of nouns in the Ukrainian language of the XI - XVIII centuries

The object of the dissertation is the noun subsystem of the compound-suffix word formation in the Ukrainian language from the very beginning of its development up to the XVIII - the century. The purpose is the investigation of the dynamics of the word-formation structure and semantics of compound-suffix nouns in the Ukrainian language in the XI - XVIII centuries. The methods are comparative-historical, descriptive, the method of component analysis. The scientific novelty of the dissertation is the first attempt of the complex analysis of the word-formation of the noun subsystem's compound-suffix words of the Ukrainian language in the XI - XVIII centuries has been done. The theoretical significance of the research the results of the work are of great importance for studying the historical word-formation of the Ukrainian noun. The practical significance of the achieved results: the materials of the research can be used in the preparation of fundamental woks on the Ukrainian language history, word-building, morphemics, making up manuals and textbooks, in lexicographic practice, in university and school linguo didactics. Sphere of knowledge is philology.
