Kurpita V. Epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis B in medical stuff of military patient care institution and effectiveness of vaccinal prevention

High level of serological markers of hepatitis B prevalence have been clearly recognized during the examination of medical stuff of Main military clinical hospital. There was twice higher then in control groups of volunteer donors.There were established facts about latent course of the epidemiological process with predominance of serological markers prevalence over the clinical forms of diseases. There have been determined the interdependence between the prevalence of serological marks and standing of service and characteristics of patients who are being treated in hospital unit.The high efficiency of a vaccine HB-Vax II for specific preventive of hepatitis B among the medical stuff has shown. Vaccination resulted in antibody formation in protective levels among 94,16% of vaccinated persons. The postvaccinal reaction were appeared in 10% of vaccinated stuff. The appearance up to 50 % of medical stuff with an unprotective antibodies level in 5 years' supervision is evidence of needs of revaccination.
