This Thesis is devoted to research and working out methods of increasing service life for compressible arched supports of haulage workings conjugated to drawing chutes with workings of reception horizon by using elastic materials made of worn-and-torn automobile tyres serving as packing and lining material. The analysis of modern packing materials has been carried out. The principal theoretical standards required for applying elastic elements from worn-and-torn automobile tyres have been worked out. The author recommends some methods for utilizing mentioned methods to pack supporting space by elastic elements from worn-and-torn automobile tyres and to line chute forehead.
