Essay

Complex research of the process of setting and consolidation of the social state in Canada in the 1930-1960-s has been realized. The author determined major ideological and conceptual principles of social policy formation. The characteristics of both intensification reasons and integral evaluation of the set of social programmes in the Canadian society have been given. Theoretical and methodological approaches of foreign scientific schools concerning of a social welfare state appearance as well as different models of social states and different mechanisms of the social policy realization were specified. An attempt to determine peculiarities of political, economic and social history of Canada in 1930-1960-s as an important component of the regularities identification of the social processes in contemporary Canada was made.
