Shkitska I. Realization of subjective modal meanings in the structure of impersonal infinitive sentences of modern Ukrainian language

The object is impersonal infinitive sentences of the modern Ukrainian language. The subject is formal syntactical, semantic syntactical and communicative peculiarities of impersonal infinitive sentences. The purpose is to reveal possibilities for realization of subjective modal meanings in the structure of impersonal infinitive sentences of the modern Ukrainian language, presenting this class of sentences as a structural-semantic unity. The methods are descriptive, juxtaposing, paraphrasing, and modelling. The novelty is that for the first time in the Ukrainian linguistics a systematic different-level analysis is performed of impersonal infinitive sentences as regular modal realisations of impersonal constructions. The theoretical and practical results may be used in syntactical descriptions of the impersonal sentence, when giving lectures and writing textbooks. The field of use is the application for studying syntax at higher educational institutions.
