Essay

The object of investigation - biotests for environmental toxicity and optical immunosensor for toxicants. The aim - development of express biotests based on chemiluminescence of exometabolites by Daphnia magna and based on bacterial bioluminescence using Vibrio fisheri, development of an Optical Waveguide Lightmode Spectroscopy (OWLS) immunosensor for individual toxicants. Methods: luminometric, laser-spectroscopy, immobilization of macromolecules on chip surface. Effects of given toxicants on chemi-/bioluminescence, the effect of immunosensor format on analytical sensitivity. Results can be used in environmental analysis, quality control of water purification. Field of application: scientific and industrial (biosensor production).
