Rybina N. Prosodic Means in Actualization of the Rhythmical Structure of Educational Texts (An Experimental Phonetic Study of English Textbooks).

Dissertation deals with prosodic means functioning in the rhythmical structure of educational texts. There has been theoretically substantiated the model of the text actualization, which is determined as a result of mental personal activity. The nomenclature of prosodic means and the peculiarities of their interaction with the linguistic tools of the other levels in the realization of text integrity have been established. Texts of the foreign language textbooks have been classified from the point of view of their communicative and pragmatic trends. As a result of the experimental phonetic study it has been considered leading and outlying prosodic components, which determine the rhythmic peculiarities of structural components of the texts from English textbooks.
