Essay

The dissertation contains the results of clinical, neurological and biochemical data of investigation of the hypophysis-gonadal and hypophysis-thyroid systems in epileptics and a new decision of a scientific task which consists of rising diagnostics and treatment approaches according to this category of patients. Owing to the study of the clinical and neurological investigations it was shown the great frequency of neuroendocrine pathology that is associated with the development of vegetative dystonia's syndrome. It was shown that neuroendocrine dysfunction presents as a hormonal disbalance predominantly in hypophysis-testicular, hypophysis-ovarian and hypophysis-thyroid systems. It was state the correlation dependence between the stage of hormonal disorder and frequency of epileptic seizures, the duration of disease. On the basis of pathogenic mechanisms of epileptic and vegetative disorders that were investigated in our study we have offered and introduced into practice the use of 1, 4-benzodiazepinefor this category of epileptic patients.
