The opportunity of person-centered teaching musical subjects in forming creative activity of future music teachers are examined in the investigation. The notion "creative activity", its contents, structure, indices and levels of this complicated personal formation as important professionalism characteristic are determined; step-forming character of students' creative activity in musical-pedagogical activity is proved; the complex of didactic conditions which prove the effectiveness of the experimental training to form students' creative activity by means of musical subjects in term of person-centered teaching have been revealed and practically tested. The forming technology of future teachers' creative activity based on the principles of role perspective, tasks approach, imitation and games approaches, pedagogical interaction, cooperation and co-creation in term of "teacher - student" relation. The materials of the research give theoretic-pedagogical basis for future improving musical-pedagogical teaching of prospective teachers.
