Essay

This work contains detailed characteristics of functional semantic category of intensity of action. This characteristic is presented for the first time in Ukrainian Linguistics. The complex lexicological, semantic and functional analysis of verbs with semantics of intensity is carried out. The complex of language means of expression of the explored functional semantic field is exposed. The structure, valency and syntactic compatibility of verbs of intensity of action depending on speech situation are found out.
