Author solved the actua1 problem or modern phthisiosurgery - increasing efficiency of treating the patients with prevalent and resistant pulmonary tuberculosis. The work proves reducing efficiency intrapleural toracoplastic (lТ) in direct and remote postoperative results. ІТ is divided into preventive and treating preventive as well as into simple and extended. Specific and nonspecific evidence to undertaking IT are determined and studied. IT modification is offered.It is stated that using ІТ accelerates the process of filling pleural cavity with the operated lung, which defines its medical-preventive action. When simultant operation is performs amount of postoperative complications decreases with ІТ in nearest and remote postoperative period and the need for using reconstruction interference is reduced. The life ехpectancy of the operated patients increases, improves its quality and their socіаl rehabilitation.
