Essay

Thesis is devoted to the study of features of crotonic aldehide (CA) toxic action and development of inhalation poisoning prophylaxis. As a result of spent research the parameters of acute inhalation toxicity CA are determined. CL50 means 295 mg/kg and 160 mg/kg in mice and rats respectively. By mentioned parameters CA is a substance of the 1st class of danger by GOST 12.1.007-76. The threshold for acute toxicity on rats is 87 mg/m3, for irritation action - 1 mg/m3. The thresholds for inhalation toxicity under long-term study are 0.56 mg/m3 and 0.011 mg/m3 for 4-hours a day and round-the-clock exposure respectively. Hygienic regulation for CA content of working area air and atmospheric air is based.
