The author present the results of researching in an experimental way economic and biological peculiarities of 5 vegetatively propagated rootstocks for quince in the fields of a nursery and 18 combination of those rootstocks with 3 cultivars of the investigated crop etered into the "Register of Plants varietes of Ukraine". Two best forms - BA-29 and MA - have been selected according to biological, economic and technological values. These rootstocks are adapted to the soil and climatic combination of the Ukraine's Northern Forest - steppe and perspective for producing high- quality planting stock for quince nev cvs favourable for the establishment of modern intense orchards. Physiological processes in vegetative organs of rootstocks in parental gardens and planting trees in nurseries have been explored. The dissertant has determined the best quince cultivar - rootstocks combination as to their compatibility and incompatible ones while inoculating on the researched rootstocks.
