The thesis is devoted to the problem of the formation of research skills of future music teachers during the research work process. The thesis gives attention to the analysis of scientific literature on the basis of it understanding of essence and research structure of the investigated conception and features of its realization in various kinds of research scientific work.The effectiveness of the formation of research skills will rise if succession development of creative students' activity takes place. The thesis gives full attention to the forms and kinds of research scientific work, to the models of research skills of future music teachers, to the organized and methodic system of this formation.This methodic is controlled due to a lot of experiments. It can be used in educational process of higher educational establishments at the faculties of arts.
