Denysenko Z. Semantic agreement between the components of worl combination in the Ukrainian language

The dissertation focuses on determination of semantic agreement between words in word combinations of the Ukrainian language. The denotative-significative, grammatical and connotative meaning of components of word combination is analyzed. The research gives a survey of the views on the development of semantic agreement theory in the works of Ukrainian and foreign linguists. It also determines and analyzes the types of semantic agreement. Various kinds of word combinations with semantically correlated components are singled out and analyzed. The thesis gives a characteristic of the nature of word combinations with oxymoron. It gives explanation of the mechanism of connotative agreement.
