Essay

The object of the study is literary process of 1920-30th. The purpose of the study is to make a systematic analysis of V.V. Veresaev's novels “In a Blind Alley” and “Sisters”; to define the place and significance of these novels in the literary heritage of the writer as well as in the literary process of the first third of XX century. Methods of systematic, social-genetic and comparative-typological analyses. The novelty of the study: for the first time systematic analysis of Veresaev's novels “In a Blind Alley” and “Sisters” is conducted from modern methodological positions and conclusions about realism of “late” Veresaev are drawn. Theoretical and practical results of the dissertation can be used by specialists in study of literature, lectures of philological faculties in the study of the history of Russian literature of XX century.
