The dissertation is a complex research work of the principles of civil law regulations of Byzantine Eclogue and modern family and inheritance legislation of Ukraine in the aspect of problem of their perception. Essence and legal nature of civil law regulations of Byzantine Eclogue and modern family and inheritance law of Ukraine are considered in their work; comparison and analysis of their basic principles are given; the question of legal regulation of family and inheritance legal relations is researched; the borders and the character of perception of Byzantine Law of Eclogue in modern legislation of Ukraine are determined; and the place of institutes of family and inheritance law of Ukraine in civil legislation is determined."
