Mishenina T. Structural and semantic peculiarities of possessive syntactical constructions in the modern Ukrainian language

This dissertation investigates the typology of possessive constructions and their structural and semantic peculiarities in the modern Ukrainian language. Units at all levels are inter-dependant presenting derivates at the same or different levels. In the derivational paradigm with the meaning of possession special attention should be given to the possessive construction based on the verb "to have". Analysis of reasons causing the asymmetry in question and transformational degree of the nuclear sentence help to define the interrelationship between derivates of the same and different levels. By way of comparing them the constituents of possessive relations at the semantically-syntactic and semantic levels are determined.
