Essay

The author investigates the problems of secondary teachers' preparation for teaching the basics of safe life activity. Psychological-pedagogical, social-historical, and educational preconditions are defined, and the basics of healthy life style are considered. Conducted research is grounded in the activity approach to the process of formation of physical training and prospective teachers' preparedness to teach in the secondary school. The study suggests the structural model of teacher education based on the author's approach and research data of the empirical research.
