Essay

The new, inexpensive and effective catalyst gasification low-grade coals of Ukraine is offered. Use as catalysts of slags of metallurgical production allows to exclude stages of branch of the catalyst from ashes and its regeneration at gasification, that results in reduction of power and economic expenses. The thermodynamic analysis gasification is executed depending on conditions of process, the optimization of various methods gasification by criterion specific power expenses is carried out, the technique of an estimation of efficiency of application of metallugical slags as catalysts gasification is developed, the laws of influence metallurgical slags on kinetics of process, in particular, order of reaction, activation energy, preexponential multiplier and the rate constant. Are established. The optimum parameters steam-and-air gasification are determined. The influence of the additives of metallurgical slags on parameters of process is established. As the catalyst it is recommended to apply slag offerronikel production. The rate of the gasification increases and the gas phase output grows as slag introduction. The maximal content of the combustible components is reached at addition of ferronickel to coal in amount of 6 mass.%. In this case carbon of the fuel is utilized in the most full measure and the coefficient of the efficiency increases on 22,8 %. The economic efficiency of use of metallurgical slag is shown by production of generating gas or synthesis-gas.
