The subject of this research is poetic language of literature process representatives of the first one third of the XX-th century. Creative heritage of more than 20 poets has been analyzed ( B.I.Antonych, V. Bobynsky, M. Voroniy, M. Draj-Khmara, D.Zagool, M.Zerov, M.Johansen, J.Klen, E.Malanyuk, T.Osmachka, E.Plooznyk, M.Rylskiy, J.Savchenko, M.Semenko, P.Tychyna, M.Philanskiy, S.Cherkasenko, G.Chooprynka and others). The purpose of this research was to establish the place and the role of "white" and "black" concepts in Ukrainian poetry of the first one third of the XX th century and to determine their peculiar linguisticanifestation. During the research the following methods were used:concept, component, textual, semantic, comparative, linguo-stylistic analises. Novelty and results of the work are that for the first time complex analysis of "white" and "black" concepts has been made in poetry language of the first one third of the XX th century. Scientific notions about concept have been specified and defined. "Ontology" of the analyzed concepts and their specific linguistic expression and their content role in organization of poetic texts, taking into account peculiarities. This work can be used at linguistic courses in institutes and universities, belles-lettres fiction, stylistic and linguo-culturology lectures, at special poetic seminars. It also can be used to compile Ukrainian cultural concepts dictionary or poetic dictionary of the XX th century.
