This thesis is an independent and completed scientific work dedicated to the complex research of the legal regulation of leasing activity. The origin and the social and economic essence of leasing, the sources of the legal regulation of leasing are investigated. The concept and the principles of leasing are determined. The classification of leasing is carried out and the subject-and-object structure of leasing relations is investigated. The purposes and contents of the state regulation of leasing activity, its methods and legal forms are investigated systematically on the basis of the fundamentals of the state regulation of leasing activity. The specific attention is devoted to the research of means of the state regulation of leasing activity. The considerable attention in the thesis is devoted to the legal regulation of the contractual relations of leasing. The concept and principles of a leasing contract are determined, as those of an independent kind of commercial contracts; the legal nature, form and contents of a leasing contract are investigated. The features of economic-legal liability for non-performance or undue performance under a leasing contract are investigated. The main attention in the thesis is devoted to making proposals to advance the legal regulation of leasing activity and their substantiation.
