Economic competition ensures the formation and functioning of a healthy market environment. Introduction and protection of competitive relations is one of the state priorities. Economic and legal support for the restriction of monopoly in economic activity should be directed, as a rule, in general, and against the monopolistic capture of large monopolies of the market of a particular product, the sale of services. This provision should also solve the problem of monopoly collusion, price monopoly, the problem of monopolists absorbing weaker competitors. Legal support (normative model) of restriction of monopoly in economic activity should be systematized, sufficient and internally coordinated. The effectiveness of the regulatory model of monopoly restriction can be measured by the degree of favorable market position for businesses, the availability of sufficient legal framework for decision-making on development and protection of economic competition, including demonopolization of the economy, antitrust regulation, control over concerted actions, concentration; the effectiveness of control over compliance with legislation on protection of economic competition; protection of the interests of economic entities, groups of economic entities and consumers from its violations. The mechanism of legal support for the restriction of monopoly should also include organizational and structural means of implementing the above regulatory model. Consideration of these components of the mechanism of legal support for the restriction of monopoly allows them not only to systematize, but also to identify the adequacy of legal regulation of their activities, to link the provisions of relevant regulations to increase their consistency and therefore efficiency.
