Pavlyk N. Typology of discursive units in the Ukrainian epistolary speech.

The author analyses the typology of discursive units in the Ukrainian epistolary speech. The notion of discursive unit has been determined in aspect of discurse analysis. In research the author specified the qenre of epistolary texts, ascertained the status of epistolary speech among functional styles, charaterised communicative-pragmatic and functional features of discursive units in the Ukranian correspondence. The author has also defined special and common discursive units of epistolary as written form of speech as follows: initial and final parts of epistolary texts; standard formulae of addressing, greeting, wish, congratulation, thank, excuse; directive constructions; narrative patterns; interrogative and exclamatory sentences; means of emotional condition creation and also the marks of social status.
