Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the complex research of Internet domain names legal nature. It studies the legal nature of the Internet domain names, and characterizes them as objects of right. Basing on the existing world practice analysis the author inquires into questions of correlation between Internet domain names and the names of natural persons, trademarks, the names of legal entities and firm-names. Special attention is paid to legal regime of acquiring the right for domain name and exercising of such right. As a result of studies the recommendations for improvements of Ukrainian legislation are provided.
