Essay

The object of study - philosophical understanding of gender mechanisms in the process of constructing of national subject. The aim - gender analyses of the systems of postsoviet Ukrainian masculinity. Methods - paradigm of masculinity studies, constructivist, poststructuralist, postmodernist, postfeminist analyses of subject. Theoretical results and novelty - Constructing of Ukrainian national subject takes place in the context of the contest among the systems of soviet, "new" national and transnational masculinity, where each system is aimed to compensate soviet/colonial trauma of Ukrainian national subject. The practical application-elaboration of new academic courses for philosophical series of disciplines. The sphere of use - to develop philosophical understanding of constructing of national community in contemporary Ukraine.
